I woke to the feeling of being watched. I frowned as I blinked the sleep out of my eyes and focused on the darkness in my bedroom. My eyes adjusted, and I saw someone sitting in the chair at my desk. I quickly stood up, eyes widened in shock and flicked on the nightstand lamp on my side of the bed.

"What the actual fuck!" I yelled as the man took his eyes off the book he had been reading with the help of the moonlight by the window.

"Who the hell are you, and what the fuck are you doing in my bedroom!" My blue eyes burned with anger as I took in the form of the man in the chair.

The man put the book down and looked me over; he had gold eyes and golden hair that was shorter in the back than the front. I could tell he was muscular from the way he moved, and his face was strong with high cheekbones and dimples when he smiled.

"I was further away than those Greek gods, so it took me longer to get here and find you my little balance." The man smirked; his gold eyes looked into mine, joy lighting them up as he took me in.

"That doesn't give you the right to come into my home... uninvited!" I licked my lips, trying to hold back screaming at him at this time of night and waking up the other occupants of the apartment building. "Especially in the middle of the night!"

The man, or god, smirked. "I wanted to meet you and couldn't wait." He literally just shrugged his shoulders at me.

What the hell? I didn’t know if I should be madder at him being here in the middle of the night, or how nonchalant he was about getting caught!

"You have met me, so you can leave now," I bit out, not bothering to be nice. He broke into my home while I was sleeping. That was just plain creepy!

The god frowned, putting the book on the desk beside him as he stood up and sat on the end of my bed. Leaning closer to me so we were eye to eye. "I wanted to meet you and talk to you. I heard a bit from the Greeks about you, but I wanted to see what you were like myself."

He pulled back, so he just sat on the end of my bed. "I know you don't really like us gods from the brief conversation I heard earlier."

I didn't protest there; I didn't like or hate the gods right now. I was indifferent. I heaved a sigh and pushed myself up against the headboard and looked at him. "Are you going to at least introduce yourself... "

It wasn't like I had the power to kick him out, being human and all.

He smiled brightly. "I am Ra, the Egyptian god of the Sun." He gave a small bow of the head in greeting. "It is nice to finally meet you; I have been waiting for my Balance.
